Saving Face Barbershop started in 2009 as a 3 chair shop. We have since grown to 4 shops across the Central New York and Capitol regions, winning best barbershop 3 years in a row across the state.
Up until now, all of our barbers have been trained in house. Many of which have gone on to be published in hair magazines, done hair for A-list movies, and opened successful shops of their own.
2024 is a new year for our team and students. With a 100% graduation rate, job placement, and NYS Board Exam Pass Rate thus far, we have high hopes for the future!

Saving Face Barber Academy's mission is to provide quality barbering education that prepares students to pass the New York State licensing examination and gain meaningful employment as professional barbers.
Cutting hair is about more than the act itself. It’s about making Justin feel excited to show off his new haircut on his first day of kindergarten. It’s about Sam feeling their absolute best on their wedding day. It’s about Shannon feeling so proud of her son looking way too grown up after his first haircut. It’s about community.
At Saving Face, we vow to change the narrative of what it means to be a barber. We will not only teach you, but challenge you to be the best version of yourself as a barber, business person, and community pillar.
